Plot Pricing

  • Type A: 10ft x 10ft: $2,500.00

    • Accommodates three (3) caskets or 24 cremains

  • Type B: 6.7ft x 10 ft: $1,800.00

    • Accommodates two (2) caskets or 16 cremains

  • Type C: 3.3ft x 10ft: $900.00

    • Accommodates one (1) casket or nine (8) cremains

Steps to purchasing a plot:

  1. Schedule a visit with an RRCA Trustee to view available plots.

  2. Payment for the plot of your choice. All fees must be paid with a certified check or money order.

  3. Signing two copies of the deed: The plot purchaser/owner retains one copy, while the Association retains a second copy. For a deed to be vail, it must be stamped with the Association’s seal. Purchaser’s must also fill out a contact sheet.

  4. You will be added to the RRCA’s mailing list so you remain informed about annual association meetings, updates, and events. Plot owners are eligible for serving on the Board of Trustees.

Purchasing a Gravestone

  • The Association does not produce or sell gravestones or corner markers. If you are in need of a gravestone, there are several local carvers and sellers that can provide you with options.

  • The Association requires that gravestones be made of natural stones in natural colors and their placement conform with the cemetery’s existing placement of gravestones. Final form and design is subject to the Board’s approval.

  • Gravestones can be installed at any time of the year. The Association asks for ten (10) days advanced notice before a foundation is poured or a stone is installed to ensure a trustee can be present for the work.

Associated Charges

Grave Excavation Fees (Year-Round): Excavation fees are subject may be subject to periodical changes, as approved by the NYS Division of Cemeteries.

  • Casket burial on a weekday:

    • Cemetery Fee: $300.00

    • Burial Cost: $800.00

  • Casket burial on a weekend:

    • Cemetery Fee: $300.00

    • Burial Fee: $850.00

  • Cremains (human & pet): $300.00.

    • This fee applies to weekdays and weekends.

    • The Plot owner or next of kin must provide a copy of the human cremation certification must be provided to the RRCA on the day of interment.

    • As of 2016, NYS & the Rombout Rural Cemetery Association allows pets to be buried with their owners. All pets interred after January 1st, 2023, must be cremated, and the plot owner must provide a copy of the cremation certificate to the RRCA on the day of interment.

Corner Installation Marker Fee: $50.00.

  • As of 2022, corner markers are not required. If the plot owner would like corner markers, they must be purchased privately and installed by the association.

Disinterment Fee (in rare cases): $900.00.
